Artist Bio.
After graduating Coventry School of Art with an MA in Fine Art in 2001, Eves has been a professional artist, teacher, illustrator and photographer for the past twenty years. Over this time he has been Finalist in Visual Arts Open 2020, has had more than 10 solo London based exhibitions, curated two large scale exhibitions in prestigious London venues and is an active member of ArtCan, a UK/ European based conglomerate of working artists. He is represented in the UK and Europe by Little Van Gogh.
Inspired by both landscape, urban art, colour and movement, Eves' work tries to capture not only the essence of the moment but to record its historical footprint. The many layers of his work not only record the passing of time for the artist and the process of making, but play on the narrative and concept of urban decay. Being inspired by a love of the sea, many of Eves’ pieces reflect this as his main working subject, tying his work to the repetition of the tides and the natural world. Like our own development the work is continually created and destroyed until the final composition is completed.
